Beginners' Diving course - Scuba Diver

A recently introduced programme that gives an entry-level certification, enabling those who wish to dive with a PADI professional dive guide to do so.

This package is aimed at those people who do not wish to achieve full Open Water certification, for example - to get the most from a holiday. However should you wish to go on and achieve this next level later, the skills learned can be credited towards the "Open Water Diver" programme.

The Scuba Diver Programme consists of a period of self-study and three instructor lead classroom lectures, using video and 35mm slide training aids, plus scuba equipment. This is then followed by three confined water sessions (in a pool), where a number of skills are undertaken. On satisfactory completion of this, two open water training sessions are completed. You will now be able to dive with a PADI professional, to a maximum depth of 12m.

This certification can be upgraded within 12 months to the full Open Water Diver. You will need to complete a further period of self study followed by two more instructor-lead classroom sessions. On completion of the final session, two more confined water and two open water dives earns you the Full Open Water Certification.
