Speciality Diving courses - Drift Diver
Most all sites can be dived on slack water but this may note be at a convenient time. For this reason drift diving can be an exciting, exhilarating experience, a form of "underwater flying"
This course covers the knowledge and techniques of drift diving. The minimum number of recommended hours is 12, with time being equally divided between academic and two open water-training sessions.
During the Drift Diver course, the following will be included:
- The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of drift diving
- Special equipment -- floats, lines, reels
- Proper procedures for buoyancy-control, navigation and communication
- Site selection and overview of aquatic currents - causes and effects
- Techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group
Prerequisite for Certification
PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Open Water Diver or equivalents and be over 12 years old.For more information email info@divepro.co.uk
