The PADI Enriched Air Diver specialty course will familiarise you with the procedures, safety protocols, hazards, risks, benefits and theory of no decompression diving with oxygen-enriched air containing 22% to 40% oxygen. The emphasis is on diving with EAN´32 and´36 (also known as NOAA Nitrox I and II).

Training will emphasise the importance of proper procedures to ensure safety, and realistically balance the pros and cons of enriched air diving.

A 12-hour (approximately) course that introduces you to the use of EANx (Enriched Air Nitrox), covering all mixes up to 40%, within a no decompression environment.

It teaches you the use of Nitrox as a substitute for air to increase dive safety, or to be used in conjunction with the Nitrox tables and computers to increase bottom time.

• Equivalent Air Depth calculations
• Practical sessions on analysing gas
• Protocols when purchasing Nitrox

Prerequisite for Certification

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, Advanced Plus or equivalent (for this programme, equivalency is proof of certification beyond entry level with experience in night diving, deep diving and navigation) or PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) with at least 10 logged dives beyond training dives.
