Ever thought you could get lost on a dive? Looked on a map and wondered how you might navigate between points of interest? Then this course could help you.

The purpose of the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course is to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of underwater navigation.

During the course you will cover:

• The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of underwater navigation
• Methods of estimating distances underwater
• Natural navigation techniques
• Using underwater patterns
• Dive site relocation techniques
• Compass navigation techniques

The recommended course time is approximately 12 hours over a period of two days and includes three dives, over a two-day period.

Prerequisite for Certification

PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or equivalent rating and be over 12 years old.
