Are you a keen photographer on land? Can your land camera be taken underwater? Want to bring back more than memories from that special holiday. The PADI Underwater Photographer speciality could be the answer!

This course covers basic underwater photography with special emphasis on practical photographic techniques. During the course the following will be covered:

• The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of underwater-photography diving
• Photographic principles, composition, film types, flash/available light
• Photography and camera-handling techniques
• The preparation, care and maintenance of photographic equipment

The recommended course time is approximately 12 hours over a period of two days and includes two dives, over a two-day period.

Prerequisite for Certification

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Open Water Diver or equivalents and be over 12 years old.
