The Nautilus, Stoney Cove

One
of the first things that many divers new to Stoney Cove encounter is
the Nautilus submarine. Looking like something straight out of 20,000
Leagues Under The Sea, the sub is incredibly intact (unlike many other
attractions which appear to have disintegrated rapidly!).
The
only down side of the Nautilus is that it is on the 7 metre ledge, just
off from the slipway, and consequently there are always lots
of other divers around. Don't expect to get any fantastic underwater
photos here unless you dive mid-week. On the plus side, the visibility
is usually fairly good given how close to the surface it is.
